Ultimate lighthouse cruise

Lighthouse fans, we know you're out there.

Coastal Living readers are in love with beacons. In fact one of our most popular online stories continues to be our roundup of the Top 10 Haunted Lighthouses. (I'll wait here while you read it).

That's why I think some of you will be interested in a trip this September that's being billed as the Ultimate Western Great Lakes Adventure, but I think should be called the Ultimate Lighthouse Cruise.

The four day September cruise will view light houses on three of the Great Lakes: Superior, Huron, and Michigan. As best I can tell it will cover at least 30 lighthouses.

The cruise, sponsored by the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association, begins and ends in Hancock, Michigan, on the Upper Peninsula, and runs $850 for members, a pittance if you break it down by cost per lighthouse!

Those waves are enormous! How does that rickety bridge withstanding those?
