Sleep with the fishes at the Oregon Coast Aquarium

If you’re heading to Oregon this month, you have a chance to sleep with the fishes.

No need to Twitter the FBI, this isn’t some online shakedown. The opportunity is provided by the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, reports the Oregonian newspaper.

The aquarium’s offering a special spring break sleepover for families. The fun starts at 6 p.m., March 27, and wraps up 15 sleepy hours later at 9 a.m. Kids ages 7 and up are welcome. Fee: $50 for members, $55 for nonmembers.

I’ve spent a few nights sleeping on museum floors during similar camp-ins. It’s a lot of fun to have the place to yourself. But I can guarantee you, there won’t be much sleeping going on.

Those who have seen the movie Night at the Museum may expect some shenanigans. But if I were you, I watch out for the octopus. They’ve been known to do sneaky things at night – like flooding aquariums.
