2011 Ultimate Beach House, Week 15: Moving Day

July 19, 2011 | By | Comments (4)

It’s moving day! The Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House is hustling and bustling with movers and interior decorators. Soon the house will be filled with the perfect handpicked art and furniture. After everything is moved in and put to place, photographers will shoot the inside for a spread in Coastal Living magazine. From what we can tell, the décor is quite fitting for a house on beach. We're anxious to see it fully finished, and we know you are too!

When are you going to reveal the inside pictures here? I can’t wait to see them. I’ve gotten many good decorating ideas for my own beach house from your past houses, and always love seeing Coastal Living’s new, fresh ideas.

Outdoor living takes a whole new dimension by the ocean. Nothing beats dining seaside, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outdoor furniture for dining works well as long as it’s made of a material that resists the salt air. My friend uses a high-end set of folding tables and folding chairs for patio furniture at his beach cottage, and stores them away when not in use.

That’s a fun experience! Nothing compares to having a nice view and a nice house after a hard day of work. Partnering that with ice cold beer would be nice!

That’s definitely a nice-looking house you built. The roof is almost the same color as the sky, and the way it is designed makes it the perfect backdrop for a pictorial. I hoped you had a great evening celebrating that beautiful sunset.
