Coastal Living: What’s a decorating lesson you learned the hard way?

Liz Carroll: Measure not just the space where a piece will go, but how it’s going to get there, whether through a tight doorway or up a flight of stairs. I ordered a bed once that would not fit up the stairs even after we took off the handrail and bannister, so I had to return it!
