Jocelyn-Chiappone-CircleIn our first bonus question with designer Jocelyn Chiappone, she shares a design tip for pulled-together living spaces.

Coastal Living: Symmetry: Yes or No?

Jocelyn Chiappone: Yes, with a twist: Symmetry creates a sense of peace and balance, as well as a sense of grandeur—but symmetrical doesn’t have to mean exactly the same. For example, select different height lamps and side tables for each side of your sofa, but make sure that the total height from the floor to the top of the lamp is the same on both sides.
