Coastal Color of the Year: Key West Blue

It’s no secret water babies love their aqua blues: the final March Color Madness match-up was two shades of turquoise (the winning hue won against Caribbean Teal), reaffirming its seemingly unlimited coastal cred. But you rallied around the lighter shade; we love it, too!

Coastal Living editors see turquoise’s dominance as a fun coastal style challenge: in 2015, how will you use it in a fresh way? To start, here are some lively color pairings that give Key West Blue a foolproof, fresh start for 2015.

Slate Gray + Key West Blue

Moody grays have long been a friend of aquas, but this dark, slate shade is a good bet because it amps up the contrast between the two colors.

Warm Sand + Key West Blue

Warm sand was one of our March Color Madness picks, and we think it looks dynamite with this shade of blue. Fresh, fun, with a dash of retro cool.

Plum Perfect + Key West Blue

This sexy shade of purple heats up our perennial fave, making this a stellar pairing for chic waterfront dining rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms on any coast.

i want to paint the inside of my door because the community doesn”t allow colored outside doors.

i have a lovely stained glass panel on either side of door and would like to pick up the blues and turquoise and pinks in the glass on the inside.

    what do you suggest?????

How does one get the paint? What is the color number? Who is the manufacturer?
