For Sale: Sunny Cottage in Key West, Florida

November 14, 2015 | By | Comments (18)

Sweater weather has swept in and made itself at home, which means we’re dreaming of leaving home to head south for the winter. Where to? This bright white little cottage tucked away off the quiet, colorful street in Key West, Florida.

Petronia Street Key West Florida Front Porch

And surprise! The property actually hosts two renovated units–“Petunia” and “Poppy”– both just as lively as the flowers they’re named after. Included in a tiny 1,243 square feet are three bedrooms, two baths, kitchens, living areas, and a darling coffee bar.

Petronia Street Key West Florida Living Room

With double hung windows and wooden floors and ceilings, this low-key living room radiates a warmth we can embrace just by peering inside.

Petronia Street Key West Florida Kitchen

Isn’t that cobalt-blue, retro Smeg fridge absolutely adorable? Paired with open shelving (which creates the illusion of a larger space), it makes the kitchen fully functional and cottage-cozy.

Petronia Street Key West Florida Sitting Room

Pictured in the background is a welcoming entry with bench seat and collectibles. In the foreground: a lime green armchair beckons you in from the beach. Did we mention all furnishings are included with the purchase?

Petronia Street Key West Florida Outdoor Patio

Step outside to discover a private covered deck, must-have outdoor shower, and perfect dosage of Vitamin D. This is where you would find us, lounging beneath the foliage with a classic Key West cocktail.

Petronia Street Key West Florida View Out

And at the end of the day, kick back and people watch from the front porch, hidden by a beachy white picket fence. This could be your daily palm-filled view of the quaint Old Town neighborhood.

Location: 1105 Petronia Street, Key West, Florida; Price: $1,100,000 (includes both units); For more information click here.

Key West is expensive real estate. That’s not a bad prune at all for its location

Sorry JoAnn, you were right -those “homes” a r e “TINY”, THE only home that you could afford would be a cracker jack box under an underpass…….. You dumb ass compared to my 3500 sq ft home is as Billy Fucillo proudly proclaims that your fat ass is

Wow another NY sewer rat who learned how to type yesterday! Stupid jerk she is right. This is a nice sized home compared to most places in NYC. Gosh and you wonder why the world thinks New Yorkers are rude and mean. Go crawl back under the dumpster you came from.

I LIVE in NYS & maybe in the shit shacks of white trash NYC that JoAnn Thissen is all to familiar with……. Gee, that house would N.O.T. even compare to my house in WNY – both of these POS would n.o.t. even fill my garage of my 6,479 Sq ft Rustic home. Sorry Joann but don’t say that everyone fits into your 1,200 sq ft mobile home……..

Wow you are a jerk and she is right. I thought the same thing. This is huge compared to NYC. You are the type of New Yorker that the world hates. Crawl back into your sewer hole under the subway you stupid ignorant troll.

As an upstate NYer and a fan of Key West, this is a perfect downsizing property. The arrogance of others here only shows ignorance, lack of knowledge, and some frail egos. I am glad I don’t cross paths with you here in upstate.

Have 40 acres in California, 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park. The home has a 2 story custom rustic, knotty pine and oak through out, 3 bedroom 2 bath with a detached oversized garage. Property completely fenced with interior fencing and secluded on a hilltop with views to enjoy!
