Palm trees sway in the salty breeze overhead, the sparkling Atlantic laps the powdery shore just steps away from the raised deck, and you’re sipping a frosty cocktail under the shade of a sun-drenched cabana stripe umbrella – this is the allure of Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa’s oceanfront restaurant, Breeze Ocean Kitchen.
And it’s not just the glittering ocean view that’s to die for.
Just a year after his fresh redesign of the hotel’s guest rooms, Jonathan Adler collaborated with the Eau Palm Beach design team to create this seaside watering hole, resplendent in sun-and-sea hues and playful patterns. And we’re dying to go. Like, right now.
Could this be the dreamiest cocktail lounge ever? A driftwood-inspired center table and plush, deep-seated armchairs outfitted in groovy Trina Turk pillows make a pretty convincing case.
And for those who prefer their sunshine in smaller doses, there’s this charming nook in the shade. The slat roofing adjusts to let a just-right amount of sunshine in, or alternately keeps you dry during summer showers. Groovy custom tile art by Jonathan Adler himself means there’s a glimpse of the sun above that bright banquette 24/7 – rain or shine!
Of course, like the restaurant’s splashy design, the menus are on-point, too.
Executive Chef Josh Thomsen whips up dishes that combine the freshest Florida flavors (check out those conch fritters!) with Caribbean, Latin American, and Asian spices and preparations.
We’ll have an order of fish tacos right now…
…and take some ceviche for the road.
And we’d be remiss to leave out the cocktail menu, which offers classic beach drinks with fun twists: think spiked milkshakes and a Greyhound made with grapefruit-peel-and-pink-peppercorn-infused vodka.
So cheers to you, Breeze Ocean Restaurant! Fingers crossed we’ll find ourselves perched under one of your yellow umbrellas in the (very) near future.
