A summer beauty routine should be easy and breezy, and sometimes, a few tricks are all it takes to keep it just that. Here, our favorite beauty hacks for summertime!
Use coconut oil for EVERYTHING.
Coconut oil isn’t just handy in the kitchen–keep it in your bathroom as a moisturizer and hair conditioner. We haven’t tried this ourselves yet, but some say it even works as a teeth whitener! Food52 Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil, $30
Try SPF as a highlighter.
Some liquid sunscreens are thin enough to use as a highlighter when you’re in a pinch. And bonus, you will already have applied your SPF for the day! Lancome Bienfait UV SPF 50+ Super Fluid Facial Sunscreen, $39
Use a facial oil to stop skin from peeling.
When skin is flaky even after you’ve applied makeup, dab a bit of facial oil on dry spots for a quick fix. Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Oil Balancing Facial Oil, $72
In a pinch, use an eye pencil to fill in brows.
When you’ve plucked a little too much or are just plain out of your brow pencil, an eye liner in a similar shade will get the job done. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, $20
