I went to Iceland on a solo vacation. It was not supposed to be solo. The person I was going with canceled 5 days prior to us leaving. I rode a horse on a black sand beach, among other things. This was my favorite thing because no matter what life throws at me, I can accomplish anything! I had an amazing time and I cannot wait to do it again!

My favorite thing I did this summer was taking the ferry to Marthas Vineyard with my two daughters. We had a lot of laughs and tons of fun! We spent most of day at the beach. My 5-year-old had a ball swimming and playing in the ocean. It was 97 degrees that day. Sitting at the beach was a perfect way to cool off.

The best day of our summer was taking my son to a surf camp for children with autism. Surfers from Hawaii and California came to the east coast and took the children out on their surfboards. For the families,it offered a day to enjoy the beach as a family without being judged and knowing there are wonderful people in the world who care.
