How to Enter (See full contest rules here.):

  1. Enter anytime from Jun 16 until August 10, 2017.
  2. Suggest a fun, creative, and evocative name for the recipe. Explain the name in a sentence or two in the comments below (50 words or less).
  3. The winning recipe name (and your name, if you wish) will be printed in an upcoming issue of Coastal Living, and the winner will receive a copy of Beach Cocktails!

How to Make Our Cocktail of the Month

Combine 3 Tbsp. (1½ oz). gin, 3 Tbsp. (1½ oz). sweet vermouth, 2 Tbsp. simple syrup, 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon), 7 fresh raspberries, and 7 fresh strawberries in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Cover with lid, and shake vigorously 30 seconds. Strain into an old-fashioned glass; top with crushed ice. Garnish with a lemon slice and fresh berries, if desired. Serve immediately. Serves 1.

    I chose this name because I can picture sitting at the beach near the water’s edge, or at the pool. Waves and people enjoying the water, splashing in the pool. Getting out and sitting in the sun sipping on this refreshing cocktail.
